Members of Korean War Abductees’ Family Union were also on hand today to give out buttons featuring the image of a blue Forget-me-not, the flower symbolizing the abductees’ tragic status. Lee Mee Il of Korean War Abductees’ Family Union said, “I hope this can be an opportunity for people to remember that the abductees are also our people.” She added, “Above all, North Korea must apologize to the South for the abductions after acknowledging their guilt. We also urge the North to send abductees remains back to the South.” The photo exhibition will continue until Friday.
