Fujitsu IS12T with Windows Phone 7 Mango hits KDDI this September

first_imgFujitsu-Toshiba’s IS12T was one of the first smartphones put on public display that featured Windows Phone 7 Mango — back at the 2011 Microsoft Partner Conference. It’s also been widely rumored that Fujitsu-Toshiba’s upcoming IS12T smartphone was slated for an August launch — almost a month ahead of the September debut of Windows Phone 7 Mango. With an official announcement finally coming from Japanese carrier KDDI, however, we now know that the IS12T will hit retail shelves in September. While full hardware specs weren’t known the last time we reported on the Fujitsu phone, KDDI has filled in the blanks. The IS12T features a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor running at 1GHz, a spacious 32GB of internal storage, a 3.7″ WVGA display, and a whopping 13-megapixel rear-facing camera. On top of that, the IS12T is also waterproof and dust-proof, and will be available in three colors: black, yellow, and magenta. The colors were chosen to complement Windows Phone 7’s built-in color schemes.AdChoices广告One thing the IS12T lacks is NFC support. That’s a somewhat surprising omission, since it’s nearly standard on Japanese phones — though Fujitsu noted that it may be added in the future if the phone proves to be popular.According to the KDDI press release, the phone will still be the world’s first to arrive with the Mango update installed. Among the myriad new goodies crammed inside will be Internet Explorer Mobile 9, turn-by-turn navigation, integrated Windows Live Messenger and Facebook chat, group texting, visual voicemail, and hundreds of other features we’ve seen teased by Microsoft over the past few months.More at and KDDIlast_img
